HbA1c Blood Test Referrals

Track how your blood glucose improves on Defeat Diabetes Low Carb Program with HbA1c tests directly from Defeat Diabetes, without needing a GP referral.

How does an HbA1c work?

HbA1c measures your average blood glucose levels over the past three months.

A higher percentage of blood glucose indicates a greater risk of diabetes-related complications. Evidence shows you can improve your HbA1c by following an approach like the Defeat Diabetes Low Carb Program.

Success Stories

"I have officially been declared in remission by my GP with an HbA1c of under 6%. Eight years of struggle to control worsening blood sugar and general health, and all under control in just six months of following the program."

Sharon F

"My HbA1c was 7.8%, and my doctor wanted me to take a fourth drug that would make me feel sick and have chronic diarrhoea. But since joining Defeat Diabetes, my HbA1c has dropped to 5.9%, and I’m in remission."

Colin B

"When the doctor told me I had an HbA1c of 7.9% and had type 2 diabetes, I was shocked. Within 12 months of following the Defeat Diabetes Program, I had lost 25 kgs, and my HbA1c was 5.8%! I’m really happy with where I’ve got to."
