I’ve struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember, but after seeing the doctor and being told I had heart disease, I knew something had to change.

I wasn’t interested in taking medication, and I was sick of feeling tired all the time. So, I started to research low carb diets on YouTube and decided to give it a go even though it was against the advice of my GP.

I couldn’t believe how quickly things changed. I felt so good – I lost 20kg in the first three months! The more weight I lost, the better I felt and the more I wanted to keep going.

The science of Rapid Weight Loss

There were a lot of little bonuses, too. My skin became really clear, which it never had been before. I didn’t expect that to change, but it did.

Probably the best thing is I didn’t have to give up the foods I love, like steak. I now just add plenty of healthy fats like avocado, macadamia nuts, cheese and things like that to make it more filling.

Low carb has totally changed my life. I’m 40kg down and counting, and I feel better now than I did in my 20s. I even started playing soccer again this year which I thought I’d never do!

I’m really glad I did my research and decided to follow my instincts. There are so many approaches to diet, but going low carb really has been the decision I’ve ever made.
